Finance executives are constantly inundated with information, tasked with meeting deadlines, dealing with regulatory and landscape changes, overcoming short-term challenges and mapping resources to deal with long-term objectives. The opportunity to discuss business, accounting, operational, and financial issues with peers helps CFOs stay ahead of the curve on emerging issues.

FETT brings senior financial executives together in a small-group setting with their peers to hold confidential discussions regarding a variety of business challenges. Hearing from other senior financial executives can help CFOs consider different perspectives on their role and strategies.

Who Attends
Leading senior financial executives from across industries attend to learn about a variety of topics and exchange information with their peers.

History
FETT began in the spring of 2011, when a group of CFOs in Atlanta developed the framework for the program. The program supplements the large group events offered by FEI with quarterly peer roundtables in which the topics is determined and the discussion is led by a CFO. This approach ensures that topics are highly relevant and timely.

The original advisory board in Atlanta included Sara Jones of BBDO, Bill Fitzsimmons of Cox Communications, Larry Mark of Coca-Cola, Mark Droege of EarthLink and Opal Ferraro of PSA Healthcare, among others.

The founding sponsors, Financial Executives International (FEI)-Atlanta, Frazier & Deeter, and PNC jointly announced the “Financial Executive Think-Tank” (FETT) program.  In 2013, Tatum joined as a FETT sponsor in Atlanta.

In 2015 FETT is planning to expand to Tampa Bay with the joint sponsorship of FEI Tampa Bay and Frazier & Deeter.  Click here to read more.

The initial advisory board in Tampa includes Mark Cabrera, CFO of Saddle Creek Logistics Services, Mike Delp, Director of Finance at Advantage Waypoint, Randy Lay, CFO of Lazy Days, Scott Marrs, Consultant at Cadence Corporate Performance Solutions and Todd Sakow, CFO of Carter Validus.

Local Advisory Boards

The Advisory Board is comprised of leading financial executives, who provide significant executive guidance to ensure FETT delivers value for senior financial executives. FETT groups bring their own business topics to each discussion, and require confidentiality. Each event is moderated by a senior financial executive, and topics are wide-ranging but of specific interest to the group. Local advisors help ensure the forum meets the unique needs of any market in which FETT operates.

About FEI Atlanta
The Atlanta Chapter of Financial Executives International has a membership of 250+ senior financial people from the Atlanta metropolitan area and the state of Georgia.  Both public and private companies are represented, along with academic participants from nearly all of the colleges and universities in the Atlanta metropolitan area. This makes for a good “mix” of senior people at our events, other professional finance/accounting personnel and guests, as well as providing a comfortable environment for both speaker and audience.

FEI-Atlanta showcases CEO/CFO, leading regulators, civic, and even law enforcement speakers at its monthly dinner meetings.  Audiences average 80-90, and these events are scheduled September through May of each year.  Other services for members include sponsor-led executive education sessions on finance, accounting, tax, regulatory and topics of interest to senior financial executives in the area.  Finally, as a founding sponsor of FETT, offering these peer group sessions for senior financial leaders fulfills one of the key objectives of FEI-Atlanta, that is, provide the “Optimal Forum for B2B issues discussion.”  FETT panel participants are not required to be FEI-Atlanta Chapter members.  For more information on all services, please see www.feiatlanta.org or contact us at admin@feiatlanta.org; the office’s phone number is (404) 681-9878.
